I am writing this as an outlooker of things happening as agriculture development.I know the facts like everyone of you aware about the grave situation in agriculture currently faces in our country and in state Kerela . News from the state and outside gain attention that many of us forward looker do struggling and confronting with agriculture issues for protecting agriculture and feeding our burgeoning population. In fact the agriculture problem portrays is a day by day problem.Although I wish to draw all your attention about the issues of marketing of agriculture produce and the effort undertaken to market agriculture produce in a positive way inside our state .What is the condition of market prevails now ? Which marketing system follows to gain marketing advantage ?How did benefit farmers from produce market ?etc questions have much relevance today. All questions point,we politicians, policy and decision takers ,intellectuals and general public who believe as the true performers had nothing done other than they created well established setups to maintain their own interests and sit in a cool and sophisticated enclosure with idle conditions against to consider farmer interests.Crores of rupees flowed to uplift the downtrodden but where is the result to showcase for scrutiny ?We always speak about sustainability, equity and inclusiveness of development .Large percentage of population engages in farming and they need farsighted vision and mission to utilize available resources and accomplish present living standard of wellsetled .How can we organise all those resources to a meaningful and sustainable fashion is a mind blogging question because our power system never allow equitable distribution of resources and bring drastic change which are participatory and fruitful to the farming people .The exploitation and manipulation of suitable environment will continue for the cause I mentioned earlier and vested interest will be guarded against sincere actions of interested people . Production and Marketing are side by side action in sustainable agriculture development so marketing of agriculture produce must be taken by the authority as priority initiative otherwise local economic activity will not move in a cyclic manner .High input resource cost and low output cost cause drain farmer pocket .Why I am writing this because from last six months tried to establish a good agriculture produce farmer market on my working area not yielded well up to this moment .Tight resistance from every corner never allow to perform in a favourable ordinary farmer friendly approach .Humiliation, disparities etc...taking place in order to curb my action and ultimately there is no progressive improvement towards agriculture .After 20 years of our organizations work no lesson learned against developmental aspects .This narration is a thought for the dispossessed and for good life, dignity of farmers. Two decades were over but the great devide exists as before as the economic backwardness and forwardness .In fact it was their destiny to live in such difficulties, changing the bad condition is one of the strong full life events rather than chasing current fads or fashions. Our need of the present is flawless policies which leads to good future for peasants. Can  do anybody that ?welcomed, do for the existence rather than destroy present.

Zinc deficiency in Banana The availability of micro nutrient zinc is very necessary to plants because it is an important components of various enzymes that are responsible for driving growth and developments of plants.Carbohydrate, protein and chlorophyll formation is significantly reduced in Zn deficient soils , studies revealed. The availability of Zn to plant is hampered due to its immobile nature and soil conditions.  The research projects of certain agencies shows that the following findings Soil temperature : Cool soil temperatures can intensify the need for zinc to plants. When soil temperature is low, mineralization of soil organic matter slows down resulting less amount of zinc being released in the soil solution  and thus less or limited uptake by plants.Root growth is also stunted by cool temperatures and reduces the plant's ability to find new sources of zinc in the soil profile. Phosphorous level : There is a known relationship between phosphorous and zinc in t...
Banana Banana is growing in more than 150 countries and having more than 1000types which subdivided into 50 groups. It is a staple food for many countries and has a greater value in nutritional aspects Kerala is bestowed with many varieties of Banana. My search ends with more than fifty varieties of Bananas including all groups. Here I am finding the evolutionary history of two important crops called Banana and coconut. But both belong to different Genus. It is very difficult to find the traces of similarities to two crops and maybe unnecessary to the academics. The evolution of plants always a fascinating subject to me. I believe the evolution of plants happens from one plant to another. So I studied the following characteristics of two crops. Banana by FAO                   It is a giant herbaceous plant with an apparent trunk that bends without breaking The banana plant is not a tree. The banana has an underground stem with a...
